Classic Ham Salad Spread

Classic Ham Salad Spread

I grew up with my mother making ham salad sandwiches.

These sandwiches are super easy to make and taste great not only as a sandwich filling but also as a dip for crackers or toasted bread.

For a less sweeter version, omit the Miracle Whip and brown sugar.

Course: Salad
Keyword: ham, salad, spread
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ham, cut into large cubes leftover ham works great!
  • ½ C mayonnaise
  • ¼ C Miracle Whip
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • ½ C sweet relish
  • black pepper, freshly ground
  • pinch cayenne

Instructions

  • If you have a meat grinder attachment for your KitchenAid, this is the perfect time to use it. Alternatively, you can place the ham in a food processor and pulse until finely chopped.
Combine the chopped ham with the remaining ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate for at least an hour to allow the flavors to marry.
