Several years ago, one of my daughter’s really wanted an iPod for her birthday. Things were tight since I was a single mom at the time so I told her (feeling ‘almost guilty – see below) that the only way I could give her an iPod was to make her a cake that looked like one.
Being the sweet soul she is – she graciously accepted my offer.
However, I’m too much of a pushover – so I gave in and got the iPod. I just didn’t tell her.
And yes, that is a picture of Justin Bieber next to her cake. (I’m happy to say we survived those years).
After baking the cake, I cut out a hole and placed the tightly wrapped brand-spankin’ new iPod right in the cake!
Who would’ve thought?
